Friday, Aug. 31 Literacy Read Aloud:  David Goes to School Name Activity:  play name memory in small groups Math:  Concept 1-4:  Left and Right Setting the Table activity	Notes from the Teacher: *What a great first week.  We have really worked hard on learning all of the school rules and procedures. *The kindergarten students have been introduced to visual phonics this week.  See if your child is able to show you the visual phonics for the first sound of his/her name. *We have been working on writing our first names this week and will continue to work on them next week also.  We are really working on using only one capital letter when we write our name. *If your child does not have PE shoes yet, please send them as soon as possible.  Please keep helping your child learn to tie his/her shoes if they do not know how. * There is no school on Mon.
