Wednesday, September 10 Literacy Word Work:  First Names Read Aloud:  Bedtime for Frances  Unit 2 Lesson 1 Concept:  Using schema, information already inside my head, to read fiction ( teacher modeling) Writing:  Names Math Module:  1/Lesson 7 Objective:  Sort by Count in Vertical Columns and Horizontal Rows	Thursday, September 11 Literacy Word Work:  First Names Read Aloud:  Alexander and the Horrible, Terrible, No Good, Very Bad Day Unit 2 Lesson 2 Concept:  :  Review schema- Use schema to read fiction (guided practice) Writing:  Write about a bad day they have had Math Module:  1/Lesson 8 Objective:  Answer How Many Questions to 5 in Linear Configurations with 4 in an Array Configuration
Friday, September 12 Literacy Word Work:  First Names Read Aloud:  The Way I Feel Unit 2 Lesson 3 Concept:  Using schema to understand the character’s feelings Writing:  Write about something that makes you feel happy, sad, frustrated, etc Math Module:  1/Lesson 10 Objective:  Within Circular and Scattered Dot Configurations of Numbers 3, 4, and 5, Find Hidden Partners	Reminders: We are beginning to work on our math core.  Please check your child’s take home folder nightly for homework. All kindergartners need to have PE shoes to be left at school and a rest time towel.  Please send them if you have not yet done so. Please make sure to empty out take home folders nightly.  Many have yet to be emptied and are becoming quite full. Wednesday, September 17 is a 1pm Dismissal Mrs. Jenison, Miss Maas, and Ms. Markwardt
