Friday, January 24 Literacy Word Work:  a, like, is Phonemic Awareness:  Blending Phonemes/Bird Body Parts Read Aloud:  Owl Babies Skill:  Identify Characteristics Craft:  Make an Owl Math   Exemplar Legs Exemplar Assessment	Notes from the Teacher: Kindergartners will begin working on a set of 20 basic words.  The following words are expected to be mastered by the end of the 4th quarter: (of, the, was, he, it, is, with, be, as, they, for, a, on, at, and, that, in, to, are, you). *Kindergarten students are dismissed at 3:10.  Thank you for being punctual in picking your youngster up.    *Snow boots, snow pants, hats, gloves and warm coats are required when there is snow on the ground.  It is also a good idea to stick an extra pair of socks in your youngsters backpack.  ALL KINDERGARTNERS SHOULD BE ABLE TO DRESS FOR THE OUTDOORS INDEPENDENTLY.  * The Valentine Party will be on February 14th, not the 13th like originally scheduled. * Mrs. Jenison, Miss Maas and Ms. Markwardt
